WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

• Pre-service teachers
• Kindergarten–Grade 12 teachers (e.g. classroom teachers, Physical Education teachers)
• Educational assistants
• Resource teachers
• Foods and Nutrition teachers
• Those who interact with students regularly

 

WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN THE WORKSHOP?

• How to talk to students about food, bodies, and movement using a trust-based approach
• How nutrition intersects with mental health and wellbeing
• Current childhood nutrition recommendations and effective classroom nutrition education practices

 

WHAT DO TEACHERS GET AFTER ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP?

• Free educator toolkit containing a ton of activity ideas and resources you can use right away
• Certificate of attendance after completing a short evaluation

TIME

Plan for a half-day PD. Approximately 2 hours

 

LOCATION

Virtual via Zoom or in-person

These workshops are meant for educators to attend only.

 

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR GROUP

Bring your group of teachers or staff together for a collaborative learning experience. Everyone joins from the same location, or from their own device, for this engaging virtual workshop. It’s a convenient way to participate as a group while benefiting from live interaction. Minimum group size is ten teachers.

Only one registration is needed for your entire group—no individual sign-ups required!
